At Bengal Association, Maa Kali Puja occupies the Centrestage due to the presence of the Temple which forms the heart of all our activities. Fondly called as Nerul Kalibari this is the hub of all activities of our association.

Kali Puja at the temple is organised daily with facilities of Nitya Bhog as offering, Daily Puja, Pushpanjali, Aarati and Monthly Amavashya Puja celebrated with devotion and fervour.

Every Amavashya, there is Bhog in the form of Khichuri, Labra and Payesh which is offered to the Goddess and then provided to devotees.

The Bengal Association in Nerul hosts one of the most vibrant and spiritually charged Kali Puja celebrations in Navi Mumbai, drawing devotees and cultural enthusiasts from across the city. Each year, the association upholds the rich Bengali tradition of worshipping Goddess Kali with grandeur, devotion, and cultural fervor.

Highlights of the Celebration:

  • Traditional Rituals:
    The evening begins with the Mahapuja of Goddess Kali, performed according to age-old Bengali customs. The beautifully decorated idol of Maa Kali, adorned with flowers, garlands, and lights, becomes the focal point of devotion.
  • Cultural Programs:
    The association organizes a variety of cultural performances, including Bengali music, dance, recitation, and drama, showcasing local talent and promoting Bengali heritage.
  • Community Participation:
    Kali Puja here is not just a religious event, but a community celebration that brings people of all ages together
  • Prasad & Bhog Distribution:
    Delicious bhog (devotional offering), including khichuri, labra, chutney is served to all attendees, adding a festive culinary flavor to the spiritual atmosphere.
